YOU CAN BE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO BE.

The essence and significance of every human “being” is in the “being”.

Be-ing or “becoming” is second nature to us. Be-ing is a progressive, evolving state that presents itself to us in every present moment as a gift to be unwrapped and unraveled.

However today, we find ourselves living our lives and showing up daily as who we’ve been and not “who we be” (pardon the syntax).

Worse yet we wrap our entire identities solely around old ideas of who we’ve been, as if life itself isn’t ever-changing(a shedding of the old to create space for the new).

In the history of life, no two moments have ever been the same, and in each moment, we are presented with an opportunity to “BE” or show up anew

Yet, if i were to look back at my life, i can say that for the longest time, i lived as though i was restricted to the one version i showed up as.

Don’t get me wrong, i always had the head knowledge that there was so much more to me, but in reality, my actions proved that knowledge to be in theory only and not in practice.

My everyday actions seemed to be betraying what i thought i truly believed, and i continued to hold on, almost for dear life, to the very past versions of me, the same versions, i wanted nothing from. And so I continued to derive my identity strictly from all the places i’d been; the failures and successes, instead of first creating a vision of who i wanted to be and then choosing from the many more suitable options available to me in each moment.

When you allow your past experiences dictate who you are, the one thing you can count on your brain to do is to remain loyal and neutral.

If you say “this is who i’ve been, so therefore it is who I am, and there is nothing i can do about it” Your brain says “Great, if you say so!” And continues to presents you daily with the version you’ve agreed with.

But we are called “beings” because we are to continuously evolve in our state of be-ing. That means i get to allow myself to evolve, i get to allow myself to BE more….. in this moment, in this day.

For instance, I have never been a writer and have constantly told myself that i never actually enjoyed writing.

In my family, I should be the last person to consider starting off a blog, but when the need to start this blog came up, i had two options, go back to the old script of “oh no, i’m the last one to do this successfully,” or exercise my be-ing and say, there is a need for me to step up, i choose to step up to the plate and continuously improve along the way.

In life there is always room for growth so allow yourself expand.

Remember the fullness of you hasn’t happened yet, so allow yourself the opportunity to BE
